Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development and experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting. This role is crucial in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Daycare Teacher will play an essential role in fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth while ensuring their well-being. Applicants with at least one of the following: CDA, TCC, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Para Pro Certificate, or a higher education degree will be considered .

Duties

  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Supervise and interact with children during activities, ensuring a safe and enriching environment.
  • Foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem through positive relationships.
  • Monitor and document developmental milestones, maintaining open communication with parents.
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and stimulating for exploration and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in staff meetings.
  • Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, meeting their physical and developmental needs.
  • Administer first aid and respond to emergencies as needed.

Requirements

  • Child Development Certification (CDA) or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education is required. Candidates willing to pursue an early childhood degree are also encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early education.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage young learners effectively.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Ability to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering children's growth and development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
