To provide operating departments with necessary supplies and parts.
Stock and maintain accurate stockroom inventory. Utilize applicable computerized system to manage inventories and order supplies. Be the point of contact for all supplies requests and stocking.
Receives incoming supplies. Use Company procedures to deal with any short supplies/breakages, etc...
Count stock items and record information manually or using a computer
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage in yard
Verify inventory computations by comparing against physical count of stock and investigate discrepancies, report results to immediate Supervisor
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment as directed
Clean and maintain storage areas in compliance with safety regulations.
Wear assigned protective equipment as required.
Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facility
Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures and goods used or issued.
Maintain accurate records of damaged stock items
Drive fork-lift equipment/truck in order to pick up incoming stock or deliver parts to designated locations
Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, storage, yard or manufacturing workers
Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return the damaged or defective items to the vendor
Recommend disposal of excess, defective or obsolete stock
Perform all other duties as assigned
