The Goddard School located in Chicago (South Loop), IL 60616 is looking for motivated self-starters for multiple positions as a Daycare Teachers at our new preschool for ages ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years. Our state of the art facility is expanding in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago downtown, just blocks away from CTA and Metra Electric.
Overview
A Lead Pre-K Teacher is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally a teacher is responsible to work together with another teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.

Educational Qualifications
- An Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field is preferred.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification.
- Developing lesson plans.
- Meeting the individual needs of the children
- Parent communication
- Participation in staff and training meetings
- Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
- Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
- Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
- Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
- Building teamwork
- Using assessment tools
- Committing to continuing education
