Technology Support Technician Home Location:

The Technology Support Technician is the primary point of contact for District personnel and students seeking technical support. The technician is responsible for answering calls and e-mail messages directed to the Technology Support Center and providing remote and in-person support, training, and assistance to district stakeholders. The Technology Support Technician works as part of the Technology Operations and Support Team to provide technology related services to the district. The work is performed under the guidance of the Manager of Technology Operations, with assistance provided by district technology subject matter experts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide first-level technology support for District personnel and students in a friendly and professional manner Perform troubleshooting and research toward the resolution of technology related problems Configure technology equipment as directed to support instruction and proper operation of end-user workstations, print devices and networking equipment Facilitate the deployment of technology equipment to District personnel Assist with testing software and hardware Provide on-site installation, support and troubleshooting at all district buildings Perform minor maintenance and repair to technology equipment Maintain and order computer and printer supplies for designated buildings Move technology equipment during the school year and over the summer for summer initiatives Responsibilities common to all Technology Operations and Support Staff:
Support staff development and training on new technology Create and update Incidents & Service Requests in the District's support tracking system Escalate unresolved problems to technical subject matter experts and/or supervisor Assist with maintaining District equipment inventory data Provide your own transportation for travel between district buildings throughout the work day, including moving small amounts of equipment
Perform any other job-related duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology or their designee.
Position Hours:
8 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday. 12 months (260-262 days), 7.5 hours/day Available:
As soon as possible.
Compensation:
$26.50/hour

Ability to read, write and do simple computation Ability to use correct grammar, sentence structure, and spelling Ability to compose clear, concise sentences and paragraphs Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to follow written and verbal directions Ability to complete tasks under general supervision/direction Educational Level:
High School diploma or equivalency Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred
