About the Role The Maryland Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking skilled and compassionate professionals to serve as

Child Access Case Screeners . In this role, you will conduct confidential virtual interviews with parties in child access cases using the Mediator's Assessment of Safety Issues and Concerns - Short (MASIC-S) tool. Your work will help the courts determine whether cases are safe and appropriate for referral to mediation, with a focus on protecting vulnerable parties and ensuring fair access to justice.

Key Responsibilities Conduct confidential Zoom or phone interviews with parties using the MASIC-S screening tool. Assess and identify potential safety risks, including intimate partner violence, domestic violence, and child abuse. Provide clear, well-supported recommendations to the court regarding mediation suitability. Maintain accurate records and report time using the MDEC system. Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience conducting sensitive client interviews. Strong knowledge of intimate partner violence, domestic violence, and child abuse issues. Ability to work empathetically with traumatized and diverse populations. Skilled in handling confidential information with discretion. Highly organized with strong time management and independent work skills. Tools & Resources Provided

MASIC-S screening tool via Qualtrics. Zoom and Jabber phone access. MDEC access for time tracking and reporting.
