Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking an
HR Generalist
on behalf of our client, a leading provider of custom label and packaging solutions serving a wide range of industries. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with employment laws, fostering a positive work environment, and aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals. The HR Generalist will be responsible for employee relations, payroll administration, compliance, talent acquisition, and safety programs, playing a key role in supporting both employees and leadership to drive operational success.
Key Responsibilities: Communicate and enforce HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and employment laws.
Administer payroll, verifying hours worked in accordance with state laws; experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing concerns, conflicts, and providing guidance.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by managing employee relations in a fair and equitable manner.
Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and operational success.
Oversee recruitment processes, including interviewing, refining hiring practices, and building partnerships with schools and industry networks.
Support performance management by coaching managers on effective feedback and recognition.
Advise supervisors on employee relations matters such as disciplinary actions, terminations, and promotions.
Manage safety programs, including training, incident investigations, and reporting for insurance purposes; maintain OSHA logs.
Maintain employee records, filing systems, and leave tracking (PTO, sick time, etc.).
Requirements Include:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field preferred.
Combination of education and equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience: 3-5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or similar environment.
Demonstrated success in managing diverse HR functions.
Skills: Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
Proficiency in HRIS systems, ideally ADP Workforce Now, for data management and reporting.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Certifications: HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred but not required.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
Familiarity with workplace safety standards and OSHA requirements.
Key Competencies: High integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with leadership and employees.
Proactive, resourceful, and able to adapt to changing business needs.
