We are looking to hire a Full Time Order Entry Technician for our growing pharmacy team here in Cabot!
Order Entry Technician Description:
The Order Entry Technician is responsible for data entry of new and refill prescription orders received from our Concordia nursing facilities.
Hourly rate up to $17.00!
This is a
Full Time, 40 hrs/week, daylight position.
Schedule will be Monday through Fridays rotating between 3 shifts
6:30am-2:30pm 7:00am-3:30pm 8:00am-4:30pm As well as one Saturday shift every 4 weeks from 6:00am to 2:00pm.
Order Entry Technician Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred prior knowledge of pharmaceutical/medical terminology, generic/trade names of commonly prescribed drugs, pharmacy laws/regulations Order Entry Technician Responsibilities:
Collect and sort medication orders from the fax and phone calls. Enter medication orders in the computerized pharmacy system Contact facilities for clarification on information including information on dose, form, and frequency when necessary. Produce prescription labels for dispensing technicians and pharmacists on a scheduled basis according to predetermined delivery times. Coordinates Medicare information between billing and pharmacy operations and maintains monthly spreadsheets. Receive and processes daily census. Obtain missing information from facilities and enter data. Verifies insurance coverage and Medicaid eligibility.
