JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and are reflective of reported inventory. The Inventory Specialist will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers. The Inventory Specialist will also assist the Warehouse, Production, Engineering and Customer Service in locating materials.

Essential Functions

1. Monitor and control accuracy and integrity of inventory.

2. Work with the Supply Chain Manager to schedule and administer cycle counts of all inventory commodity families on a regular basis with extreme accuracy.

3. Work with Controller and Supply Chain Management Team to lead annual Physical Inventory Count.

4. Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.

5. Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.

6. Reviews system to identify slow-moving or excess material and works with Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and Accounting to recommend handling of excess stock.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed.

Travel

Travel is not required for this position.

Education and Experience

• Relevant Warehouse experience within the past 5 years.

• Recent experience with Cycle Counting inventory.

• Must be computer literate and able to easily learn ERP systems.

• Experience in Manufacturing Industry.

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Prefer you to be authorized to work lawfully in the US.
