This position is based in the DC metro area to allow for onsite collaboration at our corporate office, as needed. Travel is required up to 50% (primarily along the east coast) to support client meetings, industry events, and site visits.

Job Summary: The Account Manager is a key sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts for Worldgate. This role partners closely with Sales leadership to identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities aligned with our corporate growth strategy.

The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring client needs are understood and met by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include introducing Worldgate to prospective clients, fostering lasting client relationships, coordinating solutioning conversations with internal experts, and ensuring consistently positive client experiences.

Using a consultative sales approach, the Account Manager engages with both new and existing clients, initiates the sales process, leads meetings (virtual and in-person), and prepares detailed quotes and proposals. This role operates within Worldgate's established sales systems, providing regular updates to senior leadership. Success in this position requires strong time management, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to build trust and influence across stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities: • Introduce Worldgate's portfolio of services to public sector clients and key decision-makers. • Develop a deep understanding of Worldgate's values, processes, and offerings to effectively represent the company. • Execute a top-down sales strategy, targeting executive-level stakeholders to convert prospects into qualified leads. • Develop and execute strategic account plans to establish and expand relationships with target clients in the public sector. • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through proactive outreach, market research, and networking. • Research client organizations, identify key influencers and decision-makers, and uncover opportunities aligned with Worldgate's service offerings. • Collaborate with internal teams (Recruiting, Delivery, Proposal, Marketing) to ensure early alignment on client needs and solutions. • Coordinate solutioning sessions between client stakeholders and internal subject matter experts. • Lead and manage pre-sales activities including discovery sessions, capability presentations, and proposal positioning. • Contribute to and coordinate RFP responses and proposal development. • Understand client procurement processes and guide stakeholders through the buying lifecycle. • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster trust and long-term partnerships. • Manage lead generation and client cultivation activities within assigned target territory. • Track and report on pipeline metrics, prospect engagement, meeting conversion rates, and proposal submissions. • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and maintain accurate CRM records. • Lead outbound marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness and lead generation. • Conduct competitive and industry analysis to inform sales strategies and adjust positioning based on client priorities. • Facilitate internal strategy sessions for client pursuits, aligning messaging, team roles, and solution approach. • Provide strategic insights to Sales leadership on market dynamics, client needs, and potential service gaps. • Represent Worldgate at client sites, industry events, conferences, and pre-bid meetings. • Collaborate with the marketing team by providing content and imagery for social media and promotional efforts.
