Mainframe Business Analyst/SME IT L3
Location -
Torrance, CA (Hybrid of 4 days/week onsite along with 1 day/week remote) Contract Duration -
September 2025 - March 31 2026 with strong possibility of an extension Travel - 10% - ad hoc on an "as needed" basis - domestic throughout the U.S. (travel expenses will be reimbursable)
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to serve as a Mainframe Systems SME and assist the Project Manager and/or Team Manager on various Parts Applications projects for one of our automotive clients. These projects will include the Texas Crossdock project . Assigned units of work vary from 100-hour enhancements, up to team members on a large project. Responsibilities will include the following:
nalyze business requirements and create as well as manage the completion of units of work completed by themself and other team members. Gather requirements, functional and detailed analysis/design, testing (unit, integration, system, user acceptance), implementation, documentation, warranty. Define architectural solutions to meet application requirements. Provide status to Project Manager/Lead, as needed. Breakdown of Duties:
nalysis/Design roughly 30-40% Development (code, unit test, int test, system test, UAT, Implement, Warranty) roughly 30-40% rchitectural solutions roughly 20-40% Required Skills and Expertise:
Must have strong proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, DB2, and System Development Life Cycle Concepts. Experience working with Microsoft development technologies such as .Net core, MVC.Net, and C#. Angular is a plus. Working knowledge of software engineering, software development, solution architecture. Experience supporting the implementation of medium to large scale systems across multiple platforms. bility to collaborate with multiple disciplines across the enterprise. Solid understanding of technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices. Technical aptitude of multi - tier and cross - platform architectures across the enterprise. Understanding in the information technology landscape - stretching from infrastructure, network, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends. Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Desired Skills and Expertise:
Knowledge of Automotive Parts Systems, Warehousing and Supply Chain is a plus. Experience working with Angular is a plus.
