Serve as the first point of contact for the school district administration building by greeting visitors, answering incoming calls, and providing high-quality customer service. Perform clerical duties to support the effective and efficient operation of the central office while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree or coursework in office administration preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
Knowledge of office equipment (phone system, copier, fax, scanner)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Experience:
Two years of clerical, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred
School district or public sector office experience desirable

* Please note that this role requires in-person attendance and is not eligible for remote work.

Reception & Customer Service:
- Greet and direct visitors, parents, staff, and community members in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls; take messages as necessary.
- Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and ensure district security protocols are followed.
- Provide general clerical support, including data entry, filing, copying, scanning, and preparing correspondence.
- Distribute mail, packages, and deliveries to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and conference room reservations.
- Support administrative staff with special projects and events as assigned.
- Serve as liaison between the public and central office staff, ensuring effective communication.
- Maintain updated district directories, staff contact lists, and calendars.
- Assist in disseminating district-wide communications as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee, student, and district information.
- Follow district policies, state regulations, and office procedures.
