SCHEDULE
Temporary Evening Receptionist - 26 hours per week - Schedule is every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30pm - 10pm, including every other Saturday and Sunday from 3:30pm - 10pm. Hourly pay is $16.25. Some holidays are required. Expected to end in February 2026
SUMMARY
Greets and assists residents and visitors of Glenmeadow, answers telephone and directs calls, monitors security system, and assists with clerical work by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone, with residents, visitors and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of word processing, data entry, and spreadsheets.
Ability to type 40 words per minute
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and employees verbally and in writing.
Ability to handle multiple inquiries and tasks efficiently and politely.
Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.
Ability to relate well to seniors.

- Greet and direct residents and all visitors.
- Operate telephone system to receive incoming calls, answer inquiries and direct calls or take messages.
- Assist residents with packages.
- Administrative. Specifically you are expected to:
- Assist with the preparation of reports and correspondence, data entry, file maintenance and general clerical duties for all management staff.
- Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Book guest suites, medical appointments, meeting rooms.
- Dispatches drivers
- Schedule departure times for medical appointments.
- Assemble mailings and information packets.
- Sort, collect and distribute mail and messages.
- Make sure there are adequate amounts of: applications, appointment slips, employee meal tickets, phone lists, newsletters, menus, etc. printed.
- Monitor alarm systems.
- Assist with the training of new concierge.
- Consistent/Reliable. Specifically you are expected to:
- Establish a track record of quality so that the supervisor and customers have a high degree of confidence that the assignment will be completed thoroughly.
- Respond promptly to requests for services and works with the client and their family to determine necessary services and assure they are delivered in a professional manner.
- Follow through with special assignments.
- Complete your workload in a thorough and timely manner.
- Attendance. Specifically you are expected to:
- Come to work on time.
- Follow the appropriate call out procedure if unable to be at work.
- Use accrued time appropriately without excessive call-outs.
- Attend 10 in-services annually.
- Attend mandatory team meetings.
- Some holiday coverage may be required.
- Safety Awareness and Follow-Through. Specifically you are expected to:
- Be concerned with safety. Follow safety protocol to reduce the chance of self injury.
- Oversee the fire panel and learn proper responses.
- Monitor computerized security system and makes security checks as directed.
- Immediately report any resident accidents, injuries or sickness.
- Follow safety regulations, infection control, and universal precaution procedures at all times.
