Job Summary: We are seeking a safety-focused and experienced
Certified Crane Rigger
to join our team in supporting oil & gas and heavy equipment fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely rigging, lifting, and moving heavy loads in coordination with crane operators, ensuring compliance with all industry and OSHA safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect rigging equipment (slings, chains, hooks, spreader bars) before use and ensure proper maintenance. Determine load weight, balance, and rigging requirements based on lift plans. Secure loads for lifting and direct crane operators during hoisting operations using standard hand signals and/or radios. Interpret lift plans, engineering drawings, and site instructions to determine rigging configurations. Ensure lifting activities are carried out safely and efficiently in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and site-specific safety protocols. Work closely with welders, fabricators, and site supervisors to coordinate lifts without disrupting workflow. Maintain accurate records of rigging inspections and certifications. Qualifications:
Certification:
NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) Rigger Level I or II (or equivalent). Experience:
Minimum 3 years in crane rigging for heavy industrial, oil & gas, or construction projects. Skills: Strong knowledge of rigging equipment, load charts, and safety practices. Ability to interpret lift plans and rigging diagrams. Effective communication with crane operators and crew.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions. #MGR1
