Job Summary
The purpose of the Senior Planner Scheduler is to perform construction schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and analysis of activities. Supports project organizational and administrative activities when delegated. Supervises planning/scheduling activities when delegated. Ensures work is completed as scheduled and identifies construction schedule-associated cost trends for management attention.
Job Description
Obtains required schedule information from all disciplines and functions. Coordinate with all departments to ensure understanding of project schedule needs. Responsible for total integration of scheduled activities. Identifies restraints and their effect on the schedule. Identifies schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces. Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance. Conducts schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities. Recommend alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision. Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans. Skills Required
Basic Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software. Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing scheduling functions which include planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement. Must demonstrate good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. Advanced level of proficiency in using Project Controls software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
Preferred Requirements:
Construction experience in large, complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs. Previous Earned Value Management System experience on complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs. Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions. Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 10-13 years of professional experience or in lieu of degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 14-17 years professional experience.
