Position Description:

Permanent Substitute Teachers 2025-2026 Location: Districtwide

Salary and terms of Employment: Anticipated Start Date: August 27, 2025

Position follows the school calendar

Salary - $140 per day, Bachelor's Degree is required Reports to Building Principal

Description: The substitute teacher assumes responsibility for a class and performs all the tasks of the absent teacher, such as keeping students in order, conducting quizzes, and sharing homework assignments. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing students with guidance, maintaining the safety and well-being of students, assisting with instruction, and maintaining a positive classroom climate in the absence of the full-time teacher.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher is desirable Previous experience working with children is desirable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build supportive relationships with students. Patience, compassion, consistency, and adaptability to meet students' behavioral needs.
