Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Sufficient education and/or work experience to be able to handle the responsibilities required of this job. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English. Have the physical strength the job requires. Must be able to lift twenty (20) lbs. Obtain a Food Handle's Certification provided by the district annually (applies to staff who work 4 or more hours per day) Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
FOOD PRODUCTION • Maintains high standards of control for quality food production and service. • Prepares cooks and serves foods according to established standards and procedures. • Utilizes personal time efficiently and effectively and exhibits initiative in completing work assignments. • Follows directions in order to produce work in allotted time. • Assists in the development, implementation and marketing of new menu items.
SANITATION, SAFETY AND SECURITY • Maintains an environment conducive to protecting the health and well-being of the school's children through high levels of food safety and sanitation standards. • Applies the rules of HACCP to ensure safe handling of foods. • Maintains a safe facility for performance of work. • Adheres to safety standards. • Demonstrates good personal appearance and cleanliness in work habits. • Performs any or all clean-up duties as assigned.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands:
Tools/Equipment Used : Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; All equipment located in the kitchen and serving areas.
Posture/Physical Demands:
Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and lifting/handling items up to twenty (20) lbs. unassisted and forty (40) lbs. assisted while performing duties; moderate exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Motion:
Daily repetitive motions such as scooping, serving, wiping, and mopping; occasional reaching
Environment:
May require occasional work at different campuses.
Mental Demands:
Understands verbal instructions; work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
Salary: Pay Grade OSFS $14.64 - $17.35 hourly rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule. Days: 175
