WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:
he Waudena Material Handler - Loader is responsible for quality control, sorting, loading and accurately maintaining flow of finished entrance systems into the Wausau Supply Distribution Network. It is the responsibility of the Loader to be aware of all loading and shipping goals and anticipate problems that could impact those long-term goals, including quality control and establishing high standards of loading accuracy and organization. To be an effective as the Loader, individual must be fluent with communication and it is imperative that positive relations with all internal levels of the organization remain uncompromised.
Duties to include, (but not limited to): Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities. Develops and maintains a clean, safe working environment and ensures participation in safety programs and required trainings. Safeguards Company property while maintaining acceptable level of productivity. Accurately sort and organize daily loading and shipping paperwork to aide in picking and loading efficiency. Work as a team to load trucks for the next day's delivery via specific routes and loading methods. Sorts and moves product onto racking, van trailers, and curtainside trailers as directed by loading paperwork while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet trucks, racks, hand-held scanners, system technology, etc. Use inventory and warehouse management software to facilitate electronic movement of inventory within the system Manually sort, consolidate, organized finished entrance systems within zone specific transport racking daily Identify loading discrepancies and take necessary actions to rectify discrepancies. Manage inventory as required. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort. Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or company mission. Material Handler Demonstrates:
Quality minded to ensure the product lives up to the reputation that Waudena Entrance Systems has established Ability to communicate effectively, define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions with all levels of the organization and team. Ability to read paperwork, interpret instruction and exercise good judgment Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure Ability to analyze and solve problems Being observant, able to identify issues, stop and correct the issue Education / Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience is recommended but not required Working Demands / Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds Ability to stand/bend/walk for long periods of time Work 10 hour shifts minimum, but up to 14 hours if required during peak seasons to ensure all entrance systems are loaded to ship for the next day Base schedule of 3pm to 1:30am, Monday through Thursday. Friday overtime as required
