The following noninstructional vacancy is listed in Human Resources for the 2025-2026 school year.

FOOD & NUTRITION SERVICES DEPARTMENT 3 Hour Food Service Worker - (3 positions - Eastside)

RANGE OF PAY: $16.60/hr - $18.02/hr (Additional compensation from the Millage initiative will be awarded annually. For the 2025-2026 school year, the amount to be determined by NESPA bargaining and ratification and will be prorated from July 1, 2025. The amount for the 2024-2025 school year was $2,824.)

QUALIFICATIONS: (1) High School Diploma or equivalent required. (2) Experience in food preparation preferred. (3) Good physical health.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: *(01) Understand federal, state and local program regulations; demonstrate knowledge of meal pattern requirements; assist with identifying food ingredients for students with special needs. *(02) Maintain a current SafeStaff certification. *(03) Participate in training sessions, meetings and scheduled cleaning days. *(04) Practice safe handling of all food items. *(05) Assist with large-scale food production, and follow proper meal standards, written standardized recipes and instructions, and portion control methods. (06) Portion and serve food, restock the serving line during meal service, and communicate with others regarding quantities needed. *(07) Clean and/or set-up serving lines, point of sales, condiment stations, ala carte and beverage serving areas, storage areas, work areas, kitchen equipment and tools. *(08) Clean and sanitize the food service facility and equipment. *(09) Wash dishes and utensils and empty refuse as needed in the kitchen. *(10) Record menu items prepared, quantities of ingredients used, and leftovers on a daily production report. *(11) Store food using proper safety and sanitation procedures. *(12) Operate and maintain food service equipment in a safe and skillful manner. *(13) Assist with deliveries and inventory. *(14) Maintain appropriate dress and appearance as required. *(15) Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
