We are seeking a Configuration/Change Enablement Specialist to support enterprise infrastructure operations in a dynamic federal environment. This role plays a critical part in managing the lifecycle of Configuration Items (CIs), maintaining Configuration Management Database (CMDB) integrity, and supporting efficient and secure change management practices across DHA's IT systems.
Key Responsibilities: Document and track the approval, deployment, and configuration of all infrastructure CIs within the ITSM system to maintain accurate baselines. Operate and maintain the CMDB to support automation, reporting, and process improvements. Create dashboards to visualize change metrics, schedules, and status reporting. Deliver CI data to stakeholders and government leads in real-time using the CMDB. Ensure 100% of qualified changes are recorded in the CMDB and properly baselined. Train change coordinators on CMDB usage and change request procedures. Conduct configuration audits and assess unauthorized changes. Support CAB processes, documentation, agendas, minutes, and post-implementation reviews. Manage change-related documentation and version control in knowledge management repositories. Develop CM plans, policies, templates, and process flows. Preferred Tools & Technologies:
ITSM/CMDB platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy) Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools Dashboard and diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Power BI) DoD Configuration Management frameworks Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with configuration/change management in an enterprise IT environment. Familiarity with CMDB operation and audit practices. Ability to facilitate CAB meetings and manage change documentation. Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Public Trust clearance. Education & Certifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Or equivalent government-approved technical training.
