Purpose for the Position:

To supervise and ASSIST setting and placing all tables, chairs, stage, etc. for all meetings and meal functions, in accordance with hotel and company policies. To facilitate all guest requests in a timely and courteous manner.

Essential Responsibilities: Assigns required help and delegates the banquets setup team on work expectations for banquets. Meets with function group leaders to determine any last minute changes and discuss various set-up arrangements. Ensures and assists with all water, amenities, audio-visual and breaks are in room at least 15 minutes prior to start of meeting. Complies with all guest needs for additional equipment and supplies and conveys the additional charge to the guest. Notifies supervisor to add to the guest check. Displays world-class guest service skills in adherence to OHM and brand standards. Ensures proper service to clients during the banquet. Sets up and cleans all meeting and meal function rooms in accordance with company and hotel specifications. Freshens all meeting rooms during meal breaks by changing cloths if necessary, refilling candy jars, replacing water glasses, refilling water pitchers, and removing garbage from meeting areas and break tables. Assists with meal service and breakdown as needed. Ensures that the proper cleaning of all equipment after function is completed. Assists in getting the banquet guest check signed and turned into the front office for proper posting. Follows all energy conservation guidelines as well as safety procedures. Ensures the proper handling of all equipment and supplies. Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy. Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner. Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties. Pleasant, polite manager who maintains a neat and clean appearance. Ability to motivate team members to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards. Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems. Strong leadership, management, organizational and communication skills. The ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to deliver results. The ability to work well with, as well as motivate, a variety of personality types and maintain tact and diplomacy throughout all interactions. The ability to multitask and prioritize. Hours:

Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays. Education & Experience:

High school diploma/GED. 2 years' experience in a supervisory leadership role. 1-year hospitality or banquet experience preferred. Physical Requirements of the Position:

Heavy work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. May be required to lift more than 40 pounds on occasion . Physical Activity of the Position:

Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Environmental Conditions:
