General Purpose of Job:

Contribute to a positive custodial team that builds relationships with students and building staff while gaining valuable work/life experience. To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning by assisting in preparing and serving quality and nutritious meals to students and staff. Develop skills necessary to support the daily operations of custodial services. Responsibilities:

Varies per building or custodial needs:

Completes site specific training in basic cleaning standards and methods Assists in the performance of light custodial tasks including, but not limited to:

cafeteria table cleaning vacuuming / sweeping and mopping of floors trash and recycling bagging and removal surface and window cleaning, and common area maintenance

Understands and follows proper time and attendance procedure, current uniform guidelines, and Osseo Area Schools personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines Adheres to a daily schedule of site and operation expectations Other Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with custodial or ESP staff under the direction of assigned job-coach or mentor Completes weekly timecard Seeks clarification and communicates effectively with custodial or ESP staff with or without collaboration of assigned job-coach or mentor Follow all local and district health safety codes

Skilled in:

Proper use of commercial micro-fiber cleaning methods and chemicals to minimize accidents, risk, and sanitation concerns Being agile and ability to move quickly Attention to detail Developing positive relationships with students, staff, and community: Communicating effectively using good interpersonal skills Understanding and following Custodial processes including, but not limited, to:

Standardized requests Understanding labels and safety data sheets Cleaning procedures, as trained and directed

Custodial Services offers:

Experience in a formal interview process Performance Evaluation feedback: An opportunity to develop basic custodial skills, as the applicant is capable Salary / Rate of Pay:

$13.00 per hour Non-contractual, not a member of a Bargaining Unit Job Type:

Casual, School Year, Student Worker, must be 16+ years or older

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday (depending on site needs) Part Time - no more than 20 hours per week 3 to 4 hours per day (generally through breakfast / lunch time periods) Hours worked can vary based upon student availability and student curriculum needs Accommodation:

Background Check and Drug Screen Process Upon Conditional Offer:

Background checks and/or drug screens are conducted upon receiving a conditional offer.

Employees must complete a background check and are responsible for the background fee. A passing background is required. Criminal convictions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The District and Department of Transportation (DOT) require passing of drug screenings for positions that require driving applicable district vehicles.
