This role is responsible for maintaining facility electrical systems and supporting production equipment, including electrical components related to PLCs and HMIs. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in industrial electrical work, is mechanically inclined, and possesses hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.Job Duties:Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in both facility infrastructure and production equipment.Work with and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 volts.Install, maintain, and repair industrial wiring, including conduit work.Perform general building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry as needed.Assist in mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks when required.Assist in implementing control systems and building custom automation/robotic systems.Create and maintain accurate documentation including user manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and supervisors to execute projects and resolve issues.Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following company safety protocols.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certificate preferred.Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.Experience in facility maintenance including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and basic carpentry.Proficient in working with conduit and wiring; knowledge of NEC codes preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.Experience with basic PLC programming, troubleshooting, and HMI interfaces is a plus.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.As one of the most respected names in engineering staffing, Sterling has hundreds of opportunities with top employers.
