Join our dynamic team as an experienced Electrician, where you'll play a key role in constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining essential electrical systems and equipment. Your responsibilities will include cutting, bending, coupling, and strapping conduit, as well as cutting wire and conduit to precise lengths.

You'll also be tasked with installing, repairing, or replacing switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords. Additionally, you will disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair work. Your troubleshooting skills will be vital in diagnosing electrical malfunctions, inspecting circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and testing electrical equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Utilizing blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other specifications, you'll guide your installations and repairs with confidence. You will operate electrical hand tools and voltage/amperage measuring devices, as well as work with various high-voltage equipment, including large power distribution units (PDUs), DC rectifiers, and raised flooring systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical systems and equipment including switch boxes, plug sockets, and extension cords.
  • Perform conduit tasks such as cutting, bending, and coupling.
  • Disassemble and prepare motors and generators for repair.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure circuits are shielded, grounded, safe, and efficient.
  • Use technical drawings and schematics to guide your work.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring devices effectively.
  • Manage high-voltage equipment and lead small construction projects.
  • Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the electrical field.
  • A proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Expertise in all aspects of electrical work, including high-lift operations.
  • Proficiency with both hand and power tools.
  • A strong understanding of EHS best practices.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Capability to climb and work from ladders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Master or Journeyman Electrical License in Virginia.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Experience in generating material lists and project management.
  • Proven leadership in independent construction/electrical projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with effective multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with fiber optic testing and termination.
  • Welding certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with public sector or federally funded projects.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
