Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Technician with strong commercial experience to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial buildings. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and has hands-on experience with a variety of HVAC systems used in office buildings, retail spaces, schools, and other commercial facilities.
Key Responsibilities Install, inspect, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and ductwork. Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules and equipment specifications. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes, as well as company and safety standards. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and equipment documentation. Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and other team members regarding service updates and repair recommendations. Assist in startup and commissioning of new systems and equipment. Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe and proper working condition. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification in HVAC is preferred. 3+ years of experience as an HVAC technician in commercial environments. EPA Section 608 Certification required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration cycles, and associated components. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and service manuals. Familiarity with digital HVAC tools and software is a plus. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces when needed. Benefits
