Job Description
The Parking and Visitor Engagement Assistant allows students to work outside, monitoring parking lots and assisting visitors to campus. It is required that you are able to work independently, have strong attention to detail, and be able to walk for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
These students assist Parking Services by monitoring assigned parking lots ensuring vehicles are parked in corresponding lots for their permit. They also ensure compliance with timed and reserved spaces and lots, and issue citations to violators. Students are trained in and required to operate a portable two-way radio to communicate with Parking Services.
These students may also be asked to staff the Visitor and Parking Information Booth at the entrance to the Visitors Lot near the main entrance to campus. Students will welcome visitors to campus, provide general campus information and directions and may issue appropriate parking permits.
These students may also be required to assist with traffic control during special events as mentioned above with SASP.
You will have a set weekly schedule for the semester, and we require at least a 2-hour block of time per shift.
Pay Rate: 15.50
