Data Analyst
for a W-2 contract opportunity with our client in
Phoenix, Arizona .
Overview This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong business acumen who is eager to grow in international trade and data operations. You will support import/export activities, manage trade data, and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Shift
3 days on-site 2 days remote Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (based on team needs and candidate preference)
Responsibilities
Prepare and organize import/export documentation, including commercial invoices and certificates of origin. Collect and validate trade-related certificates and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist in classifying goods using Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes. Maintain and analyze trade data within ERP and compliance systems. Monitor international shipments for customs clearance and escalate delays or issues. Conduct basic reviews of country of origin and valuation data. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Communicate clearly and professionally with a wide variety of brokers and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure alignment. Translate complex trade data and regulatory information into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field - or equivalent experience. 1-2+ years of experience in trade compliance, logistics, customs operations, or data analysis. Basic understanding of import/export regulations and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly across diverse audiences. Demonstrated business acumen and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving. Preferred Qualifications
Eagerness to grow within a global compliance and data-driven environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership. Comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams and external partners.
