Lakeview Village is a continuing care retirement community. We have an opening for a Server to work Part Time.
Lakeview's Server provides a high level of service and hospitality during meal service and catered events as needed, in a professional manner. Contributes to the residents' quality of life by providing superior communal meals, optimal choices, and caring services.

Creates, maintains, and models a high level of service and hospitality in a team-oriented setting. Provides a variety of services in assigned dining room including but not limited to: waiting on tables, taking orders, bussing, and setting tables. Ensures that all shift duties are completed both before and after each shift. This includes but is not limited to: cleanliness, stocking, and setting up the dining room for a holiday or special event. Gains an understanding of the specials on the menu before each shift, well enough that the server can answer questions about the entrees, sides, desserts, etc. Positively interacts with residents and guest, ensuring that all of their needs are met. Adheres to and understands all safety and sanitation requirements of the facility per local, state, and federal jurisdictions. Ensures that all dining services policies are followed in accordance with established procedures. Provides training or direction to other service staff as needed. Maintains proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures for food and beverage personnel. Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of proper small wares handling. Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of sanitation, food borne illness, and cross-contamination policies and procedures. Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of departmental and dining room operational policies, procedures, and etiquette. Reports all hazardous conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or department manager. Qualifications
Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with fluent understanding of English. Demonstrates a full understanding and an effective application of the use of HACCP and OSHA protocols. Demonstrates a full understanding and effective application of the use of cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials. Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as assigned. Works in a detail-oriented fashion. Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly. Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
