Position Details: Position Type:
Full-Time, 1 year contract with additional opporutnity for extension or hire predicated upon performance and business need. Job Location : Gonzales, LA Shift : First Benefits : Medical, Dental, 401k, PTO, Paid Holidays, and more. Compensation : $28 - $45/hr depending upon qualifications.
Are you Qualified?
- 2+ years of accounting, business, finance, math, or cost control experience. - High School Diploma required, College degree preferred - MS Excel - Intermediate to advanced level of expertise expected - SAP or other ERP system experience associated with creating and managing purchase orders - Working knowledge of Capital Project Management and/or Engineering terminology a huge plus. - Team player : position will encompass a variety of technical and tasks as well as engaging with executive leadership and fellow staff members.
What will you do in this Job?
- As Project Controls Technician you will work closely with our Engineering Project Managers, Capital Leaders as well as client operations and maintenance personnel to monitor actual project costs and/or work status data to ensure projects proceed on schedule and within budget and provide status reports to management. - You will prepare, track and analyze project reports and develop and review Engineering Design project estimates and schedules. - You will routinely work in SAP processing purchase requisitions, invoices and other required tasks to support the capital work process. - You will review and receive monthly invoices to ensure correct billing rates and charge codes, and initiate change order requests with suppliers for purchase orders in support of capital projects - You will be expected to have high proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, TEAMS and ability to learn our cost control and capital work processes. - You will find yourself working closely with our other Engineering Discipline Team Members, multiple levels of management as well as customers to complete project objectives on-time and within budget. - Ensure project Work Breakdown Structure and activity sets support consistency across capital projects - Lead regular internal cost, and resource status update meetings with Client project teams - Develop and utilize MS Excel to track progress of schedules and/or spend.
We Value • Strong experience with SAP applications (Purchasing/Invoice Receipt and Issue Resolution). • The ability to interpret relationships between cost, schedule, and resource requirements and how they relate to stated business objectives. • Working knowledge and skills of Ecosys(project management software) as well as MS Office TEAMS, Word and PowerPoint. • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal and relationship building communication skills • Must be customer focused and possess ability to manage customer relationship and expectations. • Cost Management experience.
