JOB SUMMARY

The Nursing Pathway coordinator is responsible for managing the nursing pathways for pre-licensure BSN and graduate PMHNP pathways. This role will help in the expansion and diversification of Spalding University's nursing student population and geographical reach. The pathway coordinator will independently develop and implement recruiting initiatives and campaigns to meet application and enrollment goals. The pathway coordinator will manage relationships with high schools and community colleges, their advisors, students, and leadership in creating progression funnels into nursing programs. Furthermore, this position will also manage relationships with workforce development entities in public sector and hospitals in creating funnels into PMHNP program. This position must be effective at independently planning recruitment strategies including, community college and community partner receptions and individual meetings. This position follows students in the pathway from initial application to graduation thus requires advising and creating flight-plans for the students. The pathway coordinator works closely with admissions, marketing, and SON clinical coordinator in ensuring successful nusing pathway.

Salary/Hourly wage for this position is $50,000 yearly with a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical coverage, 403b, 23 Paid Time Off days, 21 Holidays, tuition remission, travel reimbursement, cellphone allowance, and much more.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The pathway coordinator manages and leads the processes involved in the recruitment, onboarding and retention of nursing pathway students. Maintains strong relationship with high school and community college advisors, local hospital workforce development offices, other public workforce development entities. Develop and implement a proactive recruitment and retention program; maintain applicant filing system, applicant log, and applicant tracking program. Completes progression pathways for each student, conducts constant contact with students in pathway and advices students along the pathway. Advise students (virtually and in-person) individually regarding academic core and/or department requirements, appropriate class selection, academic policies and procedures, and campus resources. Develop an integrated tracking process for each applicant from that includes post-application and evaluation Act as liaison with Admissions, Marketing, and Nursing Faculty Provides monthly or quarterly reports to Pathway quarterly meetings. Develop PR materials, recruitment packets, and flyers with collaboration with marketing. May require occasional weekends or evenings for recruitment events Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy Strong organization skills with a proven ability to multi-task and navigate frequent priority shifts Ability to quickly establish rapport and develop relationships with multiple constituencies Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Travel to surrounding counties and states Facilitate campus tours and visits for prospective students. Qualifications

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Strong recruitment, sales, and customer service skills combined with a strong work ethic and a goal-oriented, self-motivated approach toward achieving consistent results. Strong written and verbal communication skills Computer skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience using customer relationship management systems (CRM) and the ability to learn new systems quickly Excellent communication and listening abilities: persuasive and negotiation skills, strong professional writing, public speaking, interpersonal and public relations skills Experience creating promotional marketing material is a plus Previous experience in academic area or academic advising is preferred Academic platforms (SLATE, Navigate, etc.) experience preferred 1-3 years' experience in recruitment, admissions, or higher education Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, or communication preferred INTERRELATIONS
