Closing Date: 08/11/2025 Susquehanna Township School District is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our food service team as Food Service Associates. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on the students in our community by providing nutritious meals in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with the serving, dishwashing, assisting in the kitchen, back-up cashier, miscellaneous kitchen tasks as needed Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met. Provide excellent customer service to students and staff. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area. Support a positive and efficient food service operation.
Qualifications Include But Not Limited To : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Familiar with food service activities. Ability to understand basic nutrition, sanitation, and federal regulations. Knowledge of the National School Lunch Program desirable. Ability to work on a team to accomplish a task. Ability to work with students and district employees. Ability to stand, squat, lift 40 lbs., use kitchen equipment. Ability to operate dishwasher. Ability to manage handling/counting of money. Must demonstrate knowledge of quantity baking and food preparation. Must demonstrate good math skills. Must demonstrate good organizational skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability and willingness to follow directions (written and oral) and demonstrative initiative. Ability to understand basic nutrition, sanitation, and federal regulations. Ability to operate equipment, interact well with others, perform as a team member. Work Hours :
Part-Time positions available. Hours: 8:15 AM - 2:00 PM Benefits :
Retirement Plan : Eligible for the district's retirement plan. Paid Holidays : Enjoy holidays off, in accordance with the school calendar. Work Schedule : Work according to the school calendar, with summer and school breaks off. Competitive Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth.
