Title: Human Resources Administrator
Classification: Exempt
Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000 yearly
Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00a–5:30p (subject to change)
Schedule: Hybrid - must be Los Angeles based
Location: HQ: 14801 Califa St Van Nuys, CA 91411
DÔEN is seeking a detail-oriented and highly-responsive individual to manage and maintain our essential HR functions including payroll and related duties via an integrated HRIS platform. Our ideal candidate will support a collaborative, high-performance, and values-led culture by designing and upholding systems, policies and day-to-day HR needs in a manner that helps meet and elevate Company objectives. Responsibilities
- Payroll Management
- Oversee and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist payroll tax filings, year-end W-2 preparation, and related reporting.
- Manage 1095 data collection and distribution.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, timekeeping, and related policies.
- HRIS Administration
- Serve as the primary administrator for our HRIS system.
- Promptly provide financial or other reports consistent with Company objectives, in coordination with Finance and other departments.
- Support system upgrades, implementations, and configuration changes.
- HR Generalist Duties
- Onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes.
- Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices.
- Provide first-line support for employee relations issues, escalating as necessary.
- Distribution of bi-weekly HR newsletter highlighting people updates.
- Ownership of birthdays, work anniversaries, and related people events.
- Occasional employee event support.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in HR, payroll administration, HRIS implementation or management.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing, specifically California and NY.
- Familiarity with California labor laws.
- Experience with state and federal taxation as well as deductions and withholdings as applicable.
- Proficiency with Rippling preferred, but ADP, Workday, Paylocity or similar also considered.
- Excel skills for reporting and data management.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.
- Periods of sitting at a desk, typing, sketching and working on a computer.
- Able to lift/move/push/pull objects up to 25 lbs.
- Able to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
- Able to operate equipment such as computers, copy machines, phones.
