Position Description - Regional Account Manager (RAM)

Home Surplus aspires to be the first choice of contractors and consumers in cabinets, countertops, doors, and windows. After operating as a single location for decades, Home Surplus has expanded to 5 stores in NJ and MD in recent years as it grows into a national footprint.
Position
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is a strategic seller and relationship manager focused on new business development. The RAM drives new customer acquisition and grows share of account in our commercial channel, which focuses on kitchen and bath replacement / renovation in the multifamily sector. They will call on and grow relationships with owners and decision-makers in property management, multifamily renovation, fire and water restoration, etc.
The position reports directly to the VP Business Development and Commercial Sales, who reports directly to the CEO.
Primary Responsibility
Drive new customer acquisition and share of account growth with mid to large commercial customers via a consultative selling approach and high-touch relationship management.
Requirements
MUST HAVE familiarity with residential building products and construction. Proven B2B salesperson who has operated successfully in building products or an adjacent space. Preference for experience with finished kitchen and bath products - cabinets, vanities, shower doors, etc. Loves consultative, solution-based selling. Aggressive sales hunter energized by adaptation. Loves to cultivate and own relationships. Comfortable in their own skin. Open and direct, with tact. Great listener who is also self-aware. Fosters mutual respect. Has the courage and humility to ask questions in order to uncover pain. Warm and engaging. Enjoys interacting with all types of people. Professional presentation. Strong verbal communication and above average written communication skills. Takes the initiative. Balances a sense of urgency with a consistent demeanor. Reliable and punctual. Inspires confidence and trust. Organized, with outstanding follow through. Brings a balance of analysis, creativity, and process. Unquestioned integrity. Speaks and understands English clearly. Fluency in other languages a plus. Has thrived with Salesforce or similar enterprise level CRM. Physical/Environmental Work Environment:
Work is performed in a home office, the field, and Home Surplus stores in your region. Physical requirements include:
Extended periods of time working on a laptop computer. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, and walking. Speaking in person, on the phone, and by video. MUST HAVE reliable transportation to travel to meet prospects and customers. Compensation
Competitive base salary. First year commission guarantees if bringing an established book of business. Uncapped sales commission based on percentage of gross profit on your sales.
