About the Role:

The Pantry Cook plays a crucial role in the culinary team, responsible for preparing and organizing ingredients for various dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position ensures that all pantry items are fresh, properly stored, and readily available for the chefs during service. The Pantry Cook will also assist in the preparation of salads, dressings, and cold dishes, contributing to the overall dining experience. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards are essential to maintain the quality and presentation of the food. Ultimately, the Pantry Cook helps to create a seamless workflow in the kitchen, allowing for efficient service and satisfied guests.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a pantry or prep cook role. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a high-volume kitchen setting. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Responsibilities:

Prepare and organize all pantry items, including vegetables, fruits, and condiments, ensuring freshness and quality. Assist in the preparation of salads, cold appetizers, and other dishes as directed by the head chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry and storage areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during meal periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock.

The required skills for this position include strong organizational abilities, which are essential for managing pantry items and ensuring that all ingredients are prepared in a timely manner. Attention to detail is crucial, as the Pantry Cook must ensure that all food items meet quality standards before they are used in dishes.
