Full Time

MUST HAVE: Minimum of two years of experience in quality or related area. Proficient in using manufacturing measurement and test equipment Proficient in blueprint reading, tolerancing and geometric tolerancing Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation, and manufacturing processes Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control Knowledge of ISO 9001 and application/auditing experience Proficient in Microsoft Office, computer technology and systems Aerospace industry background. Need candidates who have experience machining LARGE parts

Quality Control Inspections

Perform manual (hand tools) or CMM inspections and verification activities for products

Perform random inspections for operators

Responsible to understand and comply with customer and Voss inspection and testing requirements, methods, statistical analysis, and tools to meet buyoff acceptance

Assists as a resource to coordinate and execute inspection and buyoff activities

Assists in advising, training, and coordinating operators on inspection techniques and requirements

Assists and performs calibration and maintenance of company-owned measurement and test equipment

Assists with the calibration of employee-owned tools per calibration guidelines

Quality Assurance

Quality System

Assists in maintaining the Voss quality system to comply with ISO accreditation requirements

Assists with developing, executing, and analyzing quality reporting measures for management

Participates and conducts internal quality audits

Assists in designing and implementing methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection

Documentation and Quality Plans

Assists as a quality resource to department supervisors for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement

Assists in developing applying, and maintaining quality requirements and standards for developing and manufacturing products

Assists in developing, promoting, and executing quality plans, test methodology, documents, and inspection reports

Assists in maintaining, verifying, and supplying certifications such as material, finish, heat treat, machining, welding or miscellaneous per job requirements

Corrective Actions

Assists in administering the operation of the corrective action system

Assists in answering customer corrective action response requests

Assists in requesting supplier corrective actions when required

Promote continuous improvement

Other:

Ability to follow work order instructions, blueprint reading and geometric tolerances

Performs miscellaneous duties and participates in training as assigned by a supervisor

Is responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition

Proper and safe use of material handling equipment such as cranes, carts, etc.

Follows all company safety rules, including machine operation and guarding

Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience in quality or related area.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required

Proficient in using manufacturing measurement and test equipment

Proficient in blueprint reading, tolerancing and geometric tolerancing

Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation, and manufacturing processes

Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and application/auditing experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office, computer technology and systems

Strong interpersonal skills requiring excellent communication skills (written and verbal); ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other stakeholders
