We are seeing a skilled and experienced Business Continuity Analyst to join our team here at Two Harbors Investment Corp. In this role you will be responsible for implementing comprehensive business continuity plans and strategies, conducting BIA's, tabletop exercises, risk assessments, ensuring our Business Continuity plans and procedures are up-to-date, meet regulatory requirements and coordinating recovery and testing efforts. Additionally, in this role you will act as back up support for our onsite building Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of responsibility, accountability, and confidentiality. In addition, they will display strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with key personnel to keep an up-to-date business continuity program, including policies, procedures, and plans, in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough tabletop exercises, risk assessments and business impact analysis to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization's operations, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to ensure the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans for critical business functions, key department stakeholders and systems.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular training and awareness programs to enhance and maintain the organization's preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to business continuity management, and make recommendations for enhancements to the program as necessary.
  • Serve as one of the main points of contact for internal and external stakeholders during a crisis or disruption, providing guidance and support.
  • Assist in the response and recovery efforts during incidents, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to minimize the impact on the organization's operations and reputation.
  • Coordinate information necessary for audits, external assessments and regulatory exams.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to Executive Leadership on the status of the business continuity program.
  • Develop and demonstrate a solid working knowledge of TWO and RoundPoint structure, service lines, key personnel, and policies and procedures.
  • Incumbent will be responsible for meeting our commitment to compliance.
  • Act as back-up support for our onsite building engineer.
  • Partner with IT and Facilities Department for new hire desk setup, equipment inventory and shipments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business continuity management, disaster recovery or a related function, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in using business continuity management software, tools, and technologies, specific to ResilienceONE or other similar platforms.
  • Experience in conducting tabletop exercises, risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to business continuity management.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational and resource management skills. Has the ability to work independently with a proactive approach to solutions.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate complex concepts and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and quickly develop innovative solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to design clear, professional, and visually engagement presentations and proficient in Excel.
