We are currently seeking a full-timeDental Assistantto join our team atCFRC - Central Florida Reception Centerlocated inOrlando, Florida.
The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
Essential Duties:
• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
• Operating radiographic equipment
• Administrative tasks as needed
Hours: 6am to 3p Monday-Thursday and 6am to 12:30pm on Friday
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting
• Dental Assistant license
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
• Must be in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
