Dental Assistant

Performs chair side assistance and related duties in all phases of restorative, prosthodontic, surgical, endodontic, interceptive orthodontic and periodontal treatment as provided in general dentistry. Essential functions include preparing and sterilizing instruments, setting up trays, preparing materials, assisting dentist during dental procedures, keeping intra-oral area of operation clear, operating dental x-ray equipment, taking preliminary impressions, pouring and trimming models, administering fluoride treatments, relaying dentist's instructions, recording medical history, documenting examination and treatment information, cleaning and sterilizing materials, instruments and equipment, maintaining operatories, and providing exceptional customer service.
