Overview

Join Cayuga Health as a Call Center Team Member. This is a non-clinical role; no medical experience is required. Onsite training will be provided during the first 2 weeks in Ithaca, NY. The Call Center Team Member is the first point of patient contact and should demonstrate excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professionalism while answering calls and addressing questions from the community regarding primary care needs and COVID testing.
  • Comfort talking with patients on the phone and navigating the registration website and EMR simultaneously.
  • Provide patient results and messages from providers, with proper transfers to the clinical team as necessary.
  • Escalate calls to the management team as necessary.
  • Outbound calling to patients and offices to provide continuity of care.
  • Think critically; type quickly and accurately; and navigate multiple screens and computer systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Comfortable multitasking; Medent or Epic experience preferred; customer service experience and call center experience preferred.
  • Licensure: None required.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time; must be able to exchange accurate information; may occasionally need to move light objects up to 20 pounds.
