Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and social development studies
- Provide direct and consultative services to students and families
- Collaborate with educators to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community agencies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support crisis intervention and mandated reporting procedures
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development
- Promote awareness of mental health and social-emotional learning
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker Approval (310 Approval)
- Completion of a supervised internship with school-aged children
- Full approval or eligibility for approval by the Michigan Department of Education
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and behavioral interventions
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student advocacy
