Position Summary
The Quality Inspector assures adherence to nationally recognized standards through the implementation of sound metrological practices. The Quality Inspector adheres to applicable quality procedures through sound auditing practices. The Quality Inspector maintains compliance to internal standards related to the calibration and inspection of manufactured and test related products.
Responsibilities
1. Audit finished product 2. Audit manufacturing process 3. Routine gauge maintenance 4. Audit finished product test equipment 5. Gauge R&R studies 6. Perform measurements with gauges and equipment 7. Material analysis 8. Receiving and first piece inspections 9. Maintaining quality records 10. Quality Systems maintenance 11. Liaison with hourly, supervisory and technical personnel 12. Coach/Educate hourly personnel 13. Use of computers to operate company systems 14. Capable of executing programs on the coordinate measuring machines (CMM) 15. Perform other tasks as required
Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Must meet the WorkKeys Minimum Score Requirements to be eligible for this position:
Applied Math: 4 Workplace Documents: 4 Graphic Literacy: 4
Experience: Equivalent to 1 year up to and including 3 years Skills: Requires the use of shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specification, charts, table, various types of adjustable measuring instruments and the training generally applicable in a particular or specialized occupation. Location: Tallassee, Alabama
