Responsibilities
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
Communicate with customer on parts needs at the parts counter and status of potential orders if necessary.
Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Be able to operate, navigate, read and understand a computer based, electronic parts catalog when looking up parts.
Be able to operate a computer to process customer orders for parts, look up stock, and do daily tasks.
Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
Provides high level of service to all types of customers, whether they are internal (technicians), walk in, phone or online customers.
Pulls and fills orders from stock and or transfers
Maintain occasional bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
Participates in annual physical inventory.
Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
Locates out-of-stock parts and procures through transfer, stock order or emergency order, as necessary.
Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
Receives and ships parts daily from other stores as well as from suppliers.
Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
Qualifications
Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
Have experience with equipment parts sales (preferred)
Strong computer skills
Are able to work in a fast-paced work environment
Have strong organizational and time management skills
Able to operate a forklift
Able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to calculate basic math and determine amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
