Your Role and Responsibilities Conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans Independently diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in collaboration with physicians as needed Instructing patients and families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and effective disease management Prescribing relevant medications and therapies in accordance with practice guidelines Involvement in patient follow-up care and chronic illness management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care Maintaining accurate and complete documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications and Education
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in the state of California National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty certification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days) Key Skills for Success
