WSP is expanding and offers an exciting career opportunity for an

Assistant Vice President Project Manager

to support our

Site Investigation & Remediation Business Line

in Baton Rouge, LA. We seek a motivated candidate eager to grow our environmental consulting services in Louisiana.

Your Responsibilities

Identify and develop new clients through networking both inside and outside WSP.

Manage environmental projects, including site characterization, remedial design, and compliance, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met.

Perform fieldwork such as soil, vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater sampling, overseeing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to regulations.

Analyze data and prepare reports, recommending remedial solutions based on scientific and engineering principles.

Provide technical reviews to ensure compliance with environmental laws, standards, and project specifications.

Travel primarily within Louisiana and Texas, with occasional trips elsewhere in the Western US.

Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service.

Mentor and train junior staff, fostering team development.

Coordinate project teams, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Participate in technical discussions and business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.

Manage project budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction to promote repeat business.

Adhere to ethical standards and company policies.

Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related fields.

Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Louisiana.

10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility.

Strong background in environmental consulting for industrial, mining, energy, or government sectors.

Expertise in environmental regulations and field investigations.

Project management experience, including scope, schedule, and budget control.

Proven business development skills and client relationship management.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Willingness to travel as required.

Must pass background check and have a valid driving record.
