Job Description THIS IS A CONTRACT TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY! We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineering Manager with strong expertise in Snowflake to lead our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, design, implementation, and optimization to drive our data warehouse initiatives. The Data Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, managing and mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of data engineering projects. Responsibilities: Lead the data engineering team in the design, development, and maintenance of our Snowflake data warehouse

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data pipelines

Develop and implement best practices for Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes

Work with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements

Manage the team's resources, including hiring, training, and performance management

Continuously evaluate and improve our data engineering processes, tools, and technologies

Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Snowflake data platform and data warehouse

4 years of Experience managing a team of data engineers.

Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, design, and optimization techniques

Experience leading a team of data engineers and managing project timelines

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Proficient in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Snowflake Certification(s)

Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, such as AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery

Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Exposure to Snowflake Cortex and Iceberg
