Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to children, from infancy through adolescence, ensuring their health and well-being. You will work closely with families to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of pediatric conditions in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients.
- Perform procedures such as spinal taps and catheter care as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide education and support to families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner studies.
- Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in various settings
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and familiar with common pediatric conditions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families.
- Knowledge of best practices for working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
