We are seeking a Software Systems Engineer (Lead) to provide expert-level support in the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex software systems and applications. This role is critical to ensuring compatibility with open systems standards and Department of Defense (DoD) architectural requirements while supporting both current and future mission needs. Key Responsibilities Lead the formulation and definition of specifications for complex operating software or the modification and maintenance of existing applications. Provide high-level technical expertise in software systems programming and analysis. Design integrated system architectures encompassing software, hardware, and communication components to support cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Ensure systems comply with open systems and DoD architecture standards. Assess and present options for hardware/software updates, upgrades, and modernization efforts. Lead the development of system design diagrams, and oversee program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Serve as technical lead by instructing, directing, and reviewing the work of task personnel. Conduct quality assurance reviews and evaluate both existing and new software products. Support system operations, including file maintenance, network administration, and the use of advanced software packages for mathematical/scientific computing. Collaborate with project managers to plan technical direction and project schedules. Required Experience Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in systems engineering and software development. Demonstrated experience with MicroStrategy or similar Business Intelligence platforms, including analytics, data modeling, and dashboard development. Hands-on experience implementing modern security solutions such as Blockchain or related cryptographic technologies. Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g., Certified Systems Engineer, CISSP, or equivalent). Active Secret clearance (must possess a favorable Tier 3 (T3) investigation NACLC/ANACI at the time of proposal submission).
