Job Overview
The Senior Software Engineer designs, implements, and tests cloud-native software, consistently applying best practices in software engineering. The role involves contributing to an Agile team that solves complex challenges, builds working software, rapidly produces high-quality code, and serves as a dependable, highly skilled development resource for peers.

Responsibilities include:
Applying object-oriented principles, SOLID practices, and modern patterns to build maintainable and scalable software.
Providing technical leadership and mentorship within an agile team, guiding design decisions, improving engineering practices, and ensuring secure, high-performance software delivery.
Building and evolving automation across CI/CD pipelines and related workflows for fast, reliable, and secure cloud-native delivery.
Ensuring product quality through automation testing, static analysis, and peer reviews.
Designing and delivering secure, scalable, high-performance software components using microservices, containers, and cloud services.
Building full-stack solutions with modern JavaScript frameworks and distributed backend systems.
Enhancing engineering practices, automation pipelines, and DevSecOps workflows for faster, safer releases.
Promoting collaborative development through pair programming, code reviews, and documentation.
Leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and focus on high-value problems.
Mentoring engineers on cloud-native design, secure coding, and troubleshooting distributed systems, including telemetry and observability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing high-performance data platforms in cloud environments (Azure preferred) and knowledge of Agile practices.
Hands-on expertise in CI/CD, test automation, and modern development practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication in fast-paced environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience with .NET, JavaScript, Kubernetes, streaming APIs, and Cosmos DB is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience with cloud-native systems.
Adherence to SDLC standards and practices.
Experience with AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
Relativity offers competitive compensation including base salary, bonuses, and incentives. The salary range is $126,000 to $190,000, based on experience and qualifications.
