We are the world leader in Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions that improve the reliability, performance, and safety of critical high-risk operations, even in GPS/GNSS denied environments. We provide fail-safe position, navigation, and timing solutions for military and commercial applications worldwide. Our products and technologies power critical applications with lives and businesses depending on our systems. The Position We are hiring a talented software developer to join our product development team. This team is responsible for building and enhancing our flagship timing products, shaping the future of precise timing solutions. As part of our team, you will collaborate with other skilled developers to create innovative new features and improve product performance. Your contributions will directly impact the products success and the satisfaction of our customers. You will be based out of our office in West Henrietta, NY, but our team is international with significant presence in France and Spain, and some of your closest team members will be international. We strongly prefer someone who can have a regular presence in the office, but we have a hybrid work policy and support for flexible working hours. Since this is a senior-level position, we would like someone who is well experienced with software development, ideally for embedded products. Proficiency with working in Linux is a key technical skill. We are also interested in candidates with experience with various networking technologies. Above all, we are seeking someone who can work with others to develop creative and innovative solutions. We would love to hear about what you have worked on, how it was built, and why it was a success. What You Will Be Doing Youll be developing embedded software for our flagship timeserver products. This includes: Designing and implementing new features. Troubleshooting defects, identifying root cause, and proposing corrections. Collaborating with product management to address customer requirements. Guiding and mentoring junior developers. Participating in peer code review. Working with the latest in Resilient PNT technology. Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies. What Were Looking For Proficiency in a few programming and scripting languages (C, python, and bash are ideal). Proficiency working in a Linux environment. Proficiency with revision control systems (ideally git). Experience with networking technologies. Ability to work with an international team using Agile methods. 8 10 years of experience in software development. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field. The exceptional candidate will have some of these additional qualifications: Experience with Linux system administration. Experience working with embedded systems. Experience with network timing protocols (NTP, PTP).
