A. Duie Pyle is seeking a Seasonal Warehouser to work in our Westfield, MA location. Our warehouse workers are responsible for safely loading and unloading, organizing, and packing and unpacking freight. Prior warehouse or material handling experience is preferred, along with prior operation of a forklift or clamp truck. Often, our warehouse workers are asked to maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work.
Start time: 7:00 AM - Monday through Friday - Overtime Required
Pay Rate: $19.55 per hour. Rate will increase to $21.55 after 12 months of employment
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Loading and unloading trailers using appropriate equipment – carts, dollies, hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Picking, packing, and staging freight for pickup
Physically lifting and moving boxes
Utilizing scanners to read, track and monitor freight throughout the warehouse
Operating with a customer service first mentality
Position qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
Prior experience in warehousing, freight and/or logistics preferred
Ability to frequently lift merchandise weighing in excess of 25 lbs
Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively
