ChristianaCare Wilmington Thrive Primary Care is searching for an experienced

Medical Assistant I .

Wilmington Thrive Primary Care is located on the Wilmington campus. The address is 501 West 14th Street, 4th Floor of the Gateway Building in Wilmington, Delaware. Wilmington Thrive Primary Care is slated to open this upcoming November 2025. The practice will have a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, one full-time Primary Care physician, and one part-time Cardiologist. As the practice expands and grows, additional caregivers will be allocated.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm Duties / Responsibilities: As a

Medical Assistant I , you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
